They say music is timeless, and Lovecore is proof to that truth.

1998 was the year and Lovecore was the name. A dozen songs gave life to a band of four individuals looking for an outlet. Soon, this life had to breathe out of the studio and onto the stage. The band generated a steady following and soon found themselves playing with big name acts during that time like True Faith, Kulay, POT, etc. The group however, died a natural death due to certain priorities being students. Despite the short life span of the group, the songs lived on. Seven years later, those same songs are brought out today under the same name, but with a brand new line up of equally talented artists breathing new life into songs that have rested for quite a while.

The new line up is a fresh start as it moves away from the hang-ups of the past. Mindful of what lies ahead, the band strays from their old topics such as heartaches and relationships, and talks about life, its beauty, the people around it, and God. They have certainly found a new direction and purpose, making their message bigger than the band itself.

As one of the very few bands today playing funk-rock, the group is not after reinventing the scene but to be a player in it. They are here to bring something new to the table with their brand of music, which is sure to be something fresh and different from what's available today.

The band has started working on their album containing the old songs and adding new ones to the list... a move that will surely make its mark not only in the independent music scene but all over.

With their album well on its way and a bigger future ahead of them, Lovecore has relived the old and will continue to give birth to more music that is sure to be played all over in the years to come.

CHRISTIAN ROCK

Our band is all about a message. This message is all about God and what He's done in our lives. As much as some of the songs are about life and love, our drive is to be an instrument. We're here to let people know about the great life God has prepared for His children and His greatest gift, Jesus Christ.

We have been blessed with our talents and this is our way of giving back to God what he freely gave us. We have so much to be thankful for.

This is all for God's glory.

WHY "LOVECORE?"

(from Cy) Lovecore was a term used by our organization in UP before. This pertained to anything "relationship" related. During that time, it was the common denominator of the band as we came out of certain relationships at that time and the band served as that outlet for "pain" so to speak. The use of the name today is that bridge that connects the band with the songs of the past as we move into the future with new material and as a way of honoring the reason for bringin the group back ... to be all about the music and to share it with the world.
